Program Outcomes

  1. To be able identify the Tourist Guidance from theory to practice, from professional life to the knowledge of legislation.
  2. To be able comprehend the Turkey's archaeological, historical, geographical, cultural and sociological values and to relate them with current affairs.
  3. To be able to interpret and make connection between the geography, period and relations of the historical, cultural values with today's world.
  4. To be able to express himself / herself in at least one foreign language and use the learned knowledge in his/her profession life.
  5. To be familiar with the current terminology both in the tourism industry in general and in specific to the tourist guidance profession, and to follow the recent developments.
  6. To be able to transfer the professional knowledge of tourist guidance into this direction by having full knowledge of alternative tourism types
  7. To be able to be informed about the flora and fauna of Anatolian geography and be able to make awareness to these notions by increasing the sensibility.
  8. To be able arise the consciousness about the abstract and concrete works of Turkey and be able be aware of the positive and negative examples of museology.
  9. To have knowledge about group and human behavior and by using effective communication techniques to implement these techniques in tourist guidance professional life.
  10. To be able to express himself / herself correctly and convey information in Turkish which is the language of the education.
  11. To be able to present the changes that civilizations have undergone in themselves and in the historical process, and their effect on the cultural heritage.
  12. To be able to pursue a thesis project by putting forward to the exchanges of civilizations during the historical process and the effect of these on the cultural heritage.
  13. To be able to understand, interpret and make connections between the living religious or disappeared religious thoughts of different cultures and geographies.
